Hi Phillip,
Taking a break was a good move, mate. Don't sweat it.

Link labels. Wish I'd know you were looking. I wrote a bunch of that stuff (still up on Torry's website) called MSA Hyper Controls back in 1998 that do this. I actually still use them for somethings, never needed to update the code. :-)

I remember pulling the same trick with Visual Studio 6 when I first moved to XP, but there were lots of pieces of the UI that just didn't work properly. I guess that makes the Delphi IDE a better-written GUI... 8-)

Steve,

Thanks. It's my list of things to do before final release. I agree it takes some thinking to decipeher the field names.

Hi Philip. Love the history feature, I did the same think in my ERP package, GENeSYS - the only negative feedback I ever got from the users was that they did not necessarily understand that CL_POSTCODE was Postal Code etc.

I understand your product is aimed at a different market but it might be worth thinking about.

Maybe you could show the column description (Postal Code) rather than the column name (CL_POSTCODE).

Just a thought. The program looks great by the way :-) Cheers - Steve
